Five Minute Friday- Fall

I have decided to do another 5 minute Friday linking up with Lisa Jo Baker. It's kind of fun and will help better myself as a writer hopefully.
A little update I started my summer semester this week so I've been kind of busy with that. I'm only taking 2 classes so it's not that bad. I'm taking American History which is kind of fun and I have a great teacher for that class. Then I have physiology which is stuff that just goes way above my head. It just doesn't click with me. But it's only the first week we will see what happens over time.
I hope you have a great weekend!

Here is the prompt:

1. Write for 5 minutes flat for pure unedited love of the written word.
2. Link back to her website and invite others to join in.
3. Be generous and leave an encouraging comment for the person who linked up before you. That’s the best part about this community.

This weeks topic is : Fall

When you have a dream or a goal that you want to accomplish in life the only thing that you think of is succeeding. I'm not saying that it's not a good thing because if we didn't think we could do it in the first place why even try to pursue it. But I'm going to tell you that the road is not easy and many times along your journey you are going to fall. For me especially there are many dreams that I have and at this moment in time I feel that I am about half way up my mountain of achieving some of my dreams. At one point I think I'm on the right path and have got a good foothold and am making lots of progress when all of the sudden something happens or someone tells me I can't and I fall and end up right back down that mountain. I can honestly say that I have fallen back down my mountain and each time it happens I get so mad and sad and just want to quit and never look back. But each time we fall we need to take it as a new lesson and realize that it is Gods way of telling us that it is not the right time and we need to trust that His timing is best. Plus if we didn't fall every now and then we would think that life was easy and I am sure that many of you can agree to the fact that there is nothing easy about life. It is hard and we are going to fall but what we can't do is just lie there we have to get back up, dust ourselves off, and go back to climbing our mountain.

Have A Great Weekend!!!

  1. I think we can definitely learn a lot from the times we fall- often more than in the easy times. Keep climbing your mountain!

    1. You have an excellent point!! And yes I will defiantly keep climbing my mountain. Thanks for stopping by my page :)

  2. "forgetting what is behind, we press on! to take hold!!" (a very poor recollection of wonderful Philippians 3 from memory) Nicely done, Erin. Isn't this a fun exercise?

    1. Thank You!! Also a great quote to remember!! I do think this is a very fun exercise. I love to write and I want to become better at it. Thanks for stopping by!
